SUMMER BREAK TIL SEPT 7

7-4-08       Happy 4th to everyone !!!!   I could really use everyone's help passing out series flyers.  Click "here" for a copy of the series flyer.  Please print this out and make copies and talk up the series to your local dealerships.  Write-up for Coyote Pass is posted in the results.

6-30-08     Standings and Results updated from Coyote Pass race.  Write up will be completed soon.

6-27-08     Just spent the past two days at Coyote Pass getting the track ready.  It rained for about 30 minutes each afternoon between 3 and 4 pm.  The soil is very sandy and soaked the water up very quickly.   When I left last night, there were about 5 low areas that were muddy and the property owner was building bridges for back up if needed.  The main track is 7 miles long and the Pee Wee track is 1.4 miles long.  See ya........

6-25-08     Hope to see everyone at Coyote Pass this weekend.  The track will be fast, fun, and no rocks.  We wanted to design the track to be rider friendly for hot conditions.  Oh, don't forget Coyote Pass has a large clubhouse equipped with hot and cold showers and restrooms.  This is the last race before the summer break.  I'm thinking about returning to racing on Sept 7 at Barnwell Mtn and moving the Aug 17 race to Nov 30.  It's just to hot in Aug and the property at Skoolz Out has been sold.  This would also give me more time to locate a replacement property.

6-11-08     Write up for Pine Mountain is posted under the "Results" button.  Pictures have now been added to the write up.

6-10-08     The race flyer for Coyote Pass is now posted under the "Next Race" button to the left.  The race write up should be completed tomorrow.

6-9-08     Results and Standings updated from Pine Mountain Race.

6-2-08     There are 7 more electrical hook ups for Pine Mountain.  Call Tom at 580.587.2758 to reserve a spot.  Also, Tom told me he has added several miles of new trail.  The track will be running more of the woods and mountains than it did last year.

5-19-08   Results, standings, and write-up have been updated from the race at Dirt Devil.  Thanks go out to Mike Womack for providing the write-up for Dirt Devil race.  If anyone has some pictures of the riders mentioned in the write-up please email me a copy and I'll add them in.  Next race is in Cloudy Oklahoma at Pine Mountain.  This is another awesome place to race at.  Be sure to contact your Oklahoma riders and invite them out to dice it out with us Texans.  I'll have the race flyer updated tomorrow.

5-15-08   It's 7pm Thursday and I just got a call from David Cozart who reports the track only got 1/10 of an inch of rain.  He said the track is dry and the forecast for this weekend is sunny skies.  I'll see everyone in Cisco.

5-12-08   There will be concessions at Dirt Devil race this weekend and don't forget the Buddy Race on Sat at 5pm.  Fee for Buddy race is $20 per rider.  Each rider will do two laps and awards for each rider through 3 places.  There will not be a Unclassified race at Dirt Devil.  In addition to the Buddy race there will also be a "2-Up" race presented by David Cozart for the benefit of the March of Dimes.  This will be held on Sat after the Buddy Race.

4-29-08   Added pictures to the write-ups.

4-28-08   At the Cisco race on May 17-18 we will have a Buddy Race on Saturday at 5pm in place of the Unclassified Race.  Quads, side-by-sides, and Dirt Bikes will be allowed in the Buddy Race.  After the Buddy Race there will be a "2 Up Race" presented by David Cozart for the benefit of the March of Dimes.

4-23-08   Write-up for Diamond S Race is updated.

4-21-08   Results are updated from Diamond S Race.  Please send me an email if you are willing to pass out race flyers for ATVCCS at your local ATV shops.

4-18-08   Finally we get to race on dirt, not mud.  I was at the track yesterday and it was a little dusty but the shower yesterday afternoon made conditions perfect.  The Pee Wee track is 1 mile long totally new and totally awesome.  It is located on the left side of the camp area.  The main track is 8.3 miles long and has a new 1/2 mile section called Canyon Rock City.   Please stay out of the wheat crop.  The fields are planted and no one is allowed to ride in the planted fields.  If you open the gate and enter the planted fields you will be removed from the property.

4-3-08      News Flash:  The next race will be at Diamond S Ranch in Graham, TX on April 19-20.  The race track at Coyote Pass received 20 inches of rain last weekend and it will not dry out in time for us to race there in April.  Please contact everyone you know who races in this series and pass the word.  The race flyers had already been mailed before last weekend, so if you get a race flyer in the mail for Coyote Pass it will not be correct.

4-2-08       Remember, if you raced at Cypress Creek and you did not sound test or you did not pass sound test you used up your free pass for the year.  All racers must sound test including Pee Wee racers.  For the rest of the 2008 season if your free pass is gone and you're still not at the required sound limit then you'll still be allowed to race but you will get no series points nor will your lap times be posted on the website.  The "sound test" button has been updated, check this out and contact me if you've passed sound and you do not see your name.  The write up for Cypress Creek is now posted under the results button.

3-31-08     Hope everyone had a safe drive home yesterday, the weather was something else.  Lap times, and standings are updated from the Cypress Creek race.

3-13-08     Notice that a "Sound Test" button has been added to the website on the left side of this page.  Riders that have passed the sound test are listed.  Once a rider has passed the sound test then that rider does not need to be tested again unless they have change the bike that was tested or they ride a different bike than what was tested.  Check this list for your name, if your name is not on this list then you will be required to sound test your machine before you sign up to race at the next event.  If you fail the sound test at the next race, you will still be allowed to race but you will burn your one free pass.  Failure to have your machine tested will automatically burn your free pass.
